back to school night (or) i survived!

we had back to school night tonight at st. francis de sales...it went alright..much better than i had anticipated and i was frightened for no reason, i think...about more than half of my parents came and i felt like i really had a good turn out. the principal also came and sat in on my presentation and i think it went well. it was scary but at the same time, i felt confident because i knew that what i was talking about was what i am putting into place inside the classroom. there are things that i'm falling behind on, like lesson plans and turning them into my principal but i still need to work on that. we've almost been in school for a month now, or three full weeks...but it's still kind of scary and crazy and i find that if i procrastinate even the tiniest bit that things fall apart drastically..and i think i'm just going to have to be honest with my principal..i'm meeting with her tomorrow..

some tips for next year....look through books and familiarize self with curriculum..be aware of what the students did in the previous class...have refreshments? PREPARE!
